Why Abolish Billionaires Exists

Abolish Billionaires is a statement, not a subtle suggestion.

We exist because we reject the idea that extreme wealth is the ultimate measure of success. A society should be judged by how people live, how workers are treated, and whether the planet can sustain the lives that depend on it. Not by how much one person can accumulate.

People over profit

Our objection is to a system that allows extraordinary wealth and power to concentrate in a few hands while treating other people’s needs as negotiable.

Housing. Food. Healthcare. A livable planet. These should matter more than another record-breaking fortune.

We believe workers deserve dignity, communities deserve a voice, and people, animals, and ecosystems should not be treated as disposable costs of doing business.

That is the conviction behind our name.

Why put it on a shirt?

A shirt will not dismantle inequality. Neither will a hat, a sticker, or a yard sign. We’re not going to pretend otherwise.

But what we wear and display can make our values visible. It can start a conversation on the sidewalk, at work, or across a dinner table. It can help someone realize they are not alone in questioning a system they’ve been told is inevitable.

Our products are a way to carry that message into everyday life. Directly, publicly, and without apology.

The contradiction is worth talking about

Yes, we sell products while criticizing a system organized around accumulation and profit. That tension deserves an honest answer, not a clever slogan.

Buying something is not a substitute for organizing, mutual aid, civic participation, or supporting the people doing difficult work in our communities. You do not need to buy anything from us to share these values.

What we offer is a visible expression of them. We should be judged by what we do as well as what we print.

What comes next

This News section will be a place to explain the ideas behind the designs, question the stories told about extreme wealth, and share what we’re building.

We want to keep the message clear: people are not expendable. Communities are not collateral damage. The planet is not an unlimited resource to be converted into private fortunes.

Abolish Billionaires exists to say that out loud.

If that resonates, you’re in the right place. Wear the message, start a conversation, or simply keep asking who benefits from the way things are.

People over profit. Without apology.
